Silence after I opened the call with "If this is a solicitation, do us both a favor, and hang up now." I've been getting too many calls for home security when I'm not a homeowner, for car insurance when I don't own a car - what's it take to talk to an actual person these days?
Tuesday 9/10/13. Just got a call from this number as well, left empty voicemail. I don't own a car or anything like that, broke college student. Don't know why they are calling me.
Sept. 10, 2013 They robo called my work cell with a huge warning that my car warranty was about to expire; press 1 to confirm age of car, then 2 for something else, blah, blah, blah. I have never given out this cell number or used it for any registrations, so I guess that they could be sequentially war-dialing.
They probably sold your info to the telemarketer. I get car deals in the mail (to my name) & have never made payments on a car in my life. (I always use cash & buy from an individual or an auction.) I'm sure someone sold my info. (see below).
I got a call from this number yesterday on my cell.
All the solicitation started when I got on Federal Financial Aid to go back to school. Before that, I never got calls or sales/junk mail addressed to MY NAME. I think either the feds sold my info, or a "for profit" online college I made the mistake of attending 2 yrs. ago.
