The fact there’s nothing on caller ID made me suspicious. I finally told them I was not interested in them. They may be legit but I don’t think so. Be cautious — may not be a scam, but definitely NOT DTE Energy. And glad I read these other posts.
Same as others. Wanted to give me a discount on my gas bill. I Told her I was on the do not call list and she said "you mean you don't want a discount on your gas bill"! I told her I would be filing a complaint and hung up.
Just received a call from this number. It showed up on my caller ID as a "private caller. So I let it go to my answering machine. When the answering machine picked up, they hung up immediately. No message. Nothing. I don't do any kind of business with cold callers anyway.
called told me they were from DTE, and could save me money, I told them we don't have DTE and DTE was not in this area. He said oh I am from Consumers Energy... Could hardly understand him anyways
