I usually answer with the question "Did I call you?" When they answer either 'yes' or 'no'..........doesn't matter. "CLICK" is the next sound they hear from my side. And, then their number is promptly added to my call blocker device. Shysters will always be out there. Deal with them any way you please. They're scum to begin with. You can't improve on their global status. Just block 'em and move on to the next piece of scum. Just saying............
This was an interesting scam call. A woman's voice (sounded like it was studio recorded) left a voice message stating and referred to the phrase "Leukemia Foundation" without declaring her intent/purpose...then, to finish the comedic event, she said her name was "Dorothy Gayle", which is the fictitious Dorothy character from "The Wizard of Oz" movie.
Called and answered because I couldn't make out the number on caller id without my reading glasses. Caller said she was Dorothy from the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. I told her I don't do donations over the phone, then hit my #2 to block the number. Caller ID had DetroitZN6.
Another bogus scammer claiming to be soliciting for Childhood "Leukemia Foundation" . Even IF they were really fundraising, they are a telemarketing firm & keep MOST of the donation. I will NEVER donate to a paid telemarketer!
