i keep getting calls from these people amd now they have called my moms house asking her if she can help me pay these loans off that they have 3 serious matter and they dont want have to take me to court and she said no,and she will call me ,she gave me the # and whem i called i told them i have spoke with the DA and they needed to ( guess what they hung up on me) this needs to stop ,they are also calling my work. What can we do?
Today is the second day in a row that I've received a call from this Chris Adams from "PCS Collections." I've never heard of these people. Yesterday their number showed up as 816-728-0883 and today it showed up as 0000.
A company called my work and I am a federal employee with Department of Defense and I was threatened that I BETTER call them back. They gave me the last four of my social security # and my address and when I asked them questions they threatened me more and then called my home with a number that was nothing like the one they left me. When I tried calling them back they kept disconnecting me. I am turning their phone number in to our telephone coordinator here at Department of Defense, Portland, Oregon. Shirley Glover
Awesome! It would be great if SOMEONE could get rid of these people. It is believed that they are all in the same ring. As to the phone numbers being different, this is what they do, actually, even valid legal (not necessarily ethical though) collection agencies do this. I personally (and I'm sure I'm not alone) wish they would make this practice illegal. There should be a "truth in calling" act initiated. I sure wish I was a Senator or something. LOL! That would be my number 1 priority. If they were/are doing something legally, why do they need to use false numbers?
I have officially sent notification to our phone folks who will probably block the number I gave them, but meantime these people have actually called back 8 times and insisted on talking to my supervisor. I don't have a supervisor - I work for Department of The Army Department of Defense. I finally had a co-worker talk with this woman and as my co-worker stated they should call at home. I have put in an official complaint with our phone and next I will go to security. Harassment like this should be stopped.
