Number called at 5am 7:10 am and 8am Christmas Eve morning when I finially answered he said with a thick Indian accent something was wrong with my Microsoft computer i laid into him to many bad words to type here and then hung up on him
Same here: four calls in two days. I was feeling mean and immature this morning, so I picked up with the mute on and just listened. Robocall said goodbye, and I disconnected. Folks, don't ever speak with them, argue with them, give personal information to them about you or your family and friends. If you piss them off, they will exact their revenge and will share your number with all the other criminals. I've found the best way to reduce the number of calls is to not answer, and check here to validate my decision. I can guarantee the calls will reduce.
Have found lately, a new wrinkle in their tactics, is that a few calls that look like real local numbers are scam phished or spoofed calls, they do get under my radar and I find no entries here yet, so I make mine the first, as a warning. But generally, ignoring them, in other words being the adult, will help the most. If you block them, it will begin to look like whack-a-mole, as they keep generating new CIDs and nail you again each time. Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't, as the Irish would say. Let them keep using the CID you recognize, and ignore the call. And ignoring is free and the fastest tactic! If there are no complaints here yet, you cal always return the call and explain why you didn't answer, most people will understand and laugh with you.
Just got the call now on my landline. No recording, just a criminal laying in wait for me to say "Hello". My PhoneTray answered them with this is a non-working number. If I had to talk to them, I would have told them it's not my computer that has the virus, it's my TOASTER! Stupid idiotic criminals!
Phone rang at 6:35 A.M.!!! WHi the heck are these people? Answered the phone, wanted to give them an earful for calling so early instead only dead air and then a robotic "Goodbye".
