These people have been calling me night and day, and have now begun calling my family and friends. THIS IS A SCAM. If you have ever sought legal or financial advise/guidance using the internet...they have your number. REPEAT...THIS IS A SCAM. Do not fall for their terrorist tactics used to steal money from unsuspecting, hard working Americans. Your first recourse is to politely ask that you be removed from their "calling list". The next is to file a claim at ftb.gov; following that, contact your state's Attorney General office.
A "Christopher Hawkins calling from an attorney office, law office" with a thick indian accent called me from this number stating that my ssn was going to be "blacklisted" because there was a lawsuit against me for an unpaid cash advance. I never got this supposed cash advance and had never heard of a ssn being blacklisted so I googled blacklisting social security numbers and found that there's no such thing. In the search results I also found info about other phone numbers these calls are made from. They are scams trying to get people to pay them with the threat of a case going to court if they're not paid. I was not going to pay anything anyway because I knew I had not received any cash advance I had not paid plus I had never received anything in writing. Don't let them fool you!
