I got a couple of phone calls they finally left a message but all I got was a couple of numbers and the guy saying they have now warned me and gave me notice, and are going to blacklist my social security number if i don't respond, so I Googled it and I got all of you saying it's a scam the number on my caller ID showed up as Washington DC so of course I got a little bit worried but made sure I Googled it first before I did anything stupid the number was 202 601-9020.
I forgot to say that I am also getting quite a few phone calls claiming to be the Census Bureau I'm guessing that is also a scam so be on the lookout for that
I had a message on my 'cell phone' no one has that number , no one in an official capacity anyway. It was a WA DC number (202-795-3008) it was an automated message saying it was urgent I call them back 'a time sensitive matter' yeah right. I called them anyway just to see what they would say, a woman with very broken english hesitated when she first said hello and then said my name in a rather harsh manner 'man they need some training' like the IRS would sound upset or mad when telling me I owed money?? so they have called ID to make it more real that they know who you are?? any who , she started in that I was going to be sued talking very fast and seeming to get more angry as she went on and then I said 'I know this couldnt be right Ive filed my taxes and just received my return I owe no one any money Im calling the IRS directly as I hung up the phone she was scrambling to keep me on the line saying how much trouble I was in and needed to take care of it NOW!. Wow I hope more people are knowledgeable about this and dont fall for this crap. Its awful that this can happen today in a country where people have to work so hard for what little we get paid :( .
I had an automated message on my phone from WA DC saying that it was the IRS they were calling about a time sensitive matter that I needed to call them right back , that the matter was so time sensitive my SS# was going to be black listed 'what ever that means', that I needed to call back immediately or the matter would go to their legal dept because I had been audited and I was being sued ??!! right. I had heard about this kind of thing and I know there was nothing wrong with my tax situation 'I just received my return'and I know I pay in more than enough. The woman even spoke to me like you would a child you were angry with in her very broken english, I told her I had heard of this scam and I wanted to call the IRS directly and as I hung up the phone I could here her telling me how time sensitive this was and I must want to go to jail?? I hung up the phone and looked on line and found numerous sites saying the same thing that I had been told
Yep I got a call saying I will be black listed if I don't return they're call at 202 754 8536 . More scams. any one can call for me and see what they tell you. I don't owe anyone . So I'm good
