This is a debt collection scam for payday loans. Please file a report of the calls with the FBI at www.ic3.gov and with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov.
Just received a call, as it was an unknown number i let the machine pick it up. A message was left by a man who could hardly speak English telling me my husbands SS# had been blacklist and there was a pending lawsuit. I called the number back multiple time to see how the phone would be answered. The first time it was busy as it was the second and third time, when i tried again it rang and rang and went dead. Like some of the above comments i googled blacklisted ss# and found this page. I would list the company name but i could hardly understand the man and am not totally sure of what he said, probably why they use people who do not speak english, to confuse US the CONSUMERS. When i tried a business search using the phone number i found nothing. Makes me sick how some people will scam hard working people for their money, true low lives!
i received a call number starts with 0399 and ends with 099 the middle i dont remember. I missed the first call when i called back the machine said that i am concerned by the telco club and called ended. Then after that they called about 4 to 7 times in 3 hours.
I recieved a call from some guy named Robert with an accent saying ha was from cash advance and that I had missed a payment for a loan I never got but of course I was freakin out because i do have a payday loan out and he said he was from there legal.department. telling me I'm being charged with fraud and other stuff and he was.going to contact the local magistrate and someone will come to my residence. All of it i totally believe at first then after i did some reseach on my.bank account my loan emails and calling mypayday loan I realized this had to be scam!!! I'm so glad i did not have the money to pay them right away or i probably would have! This is so scary they knew my ss number , I will never get a loan again apparently our information isn't secure with them. I just called and left them a.message telling them i will not be paying them any money and.if they call me again I will report them.to the FBI! They think I'm going to get two green dot cards at cvs with 800 on them. F those idiots I can't believe people actually do this!
