Do not give these people any information. It's a scam. They call from multiple different numbers, one is 801-520-1980, and they say they're from your credit card company and they just need your card number and personal info to see if you're eligible to lower your interest rate. They then tell you you're not and use all your info to wipe you out. This is what I've read on another site when I researched the 801 number, and it's the same people because it was the exact same recorded message.
DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION AND PUT YOURSELF ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY IF YOU'RE NOT ALREADY ON IT SO YOU CAN START FILING COMPLAINTS EVERY TIME THEY CALL YOU.
This happened to me as well. Except before she hung up, she kept insisting that I didn't know what I was talking about. When pressed for more information about my 'account', she hung up.
I have received calls from these idiots at least 4 times and I've asked them 3 times to put me on their "do not call list." This last call he asked me to hold for a confirmation number and just left me on hold. Cute! I have an idea that may stop these jerks. When you answer and they prompt you to press 9 or any other number to talk to a rep, wait till they answer and blast an air horn or some other annoying device in their ear--then hang up.
