Do not give these people any information. It's a scam. They call from multiple different numbers, one is 801-520-1980, and they say they're from your credit card company and they just need your card number and personal info to see if you're eligible to lower your interest rate. They then tell you you're not and use all your info to wipe you out. This is what I've read on another site when I researched the 801 number, and it's the same people because it was the exact same recorded message.
DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION AND PUT YOURSELF ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY IF YOU'RE NOT ALREADY ON IT SO YOU CAN START FILING COMPLAINTS EVERY TIME THEY CALL YOU.
I keep getting these calls and hang up on the machine. Today I got really tired of them and decided to put an end to it. First I found out there is only one option (#9 to speak with someone) however no option to cancel any further calls. So I hit #9 and asked that I receive no further calls. She said she can't do that. I asked why not and her response was that if you have a credit card you agree to be ADVISED of any savings you can possibly get and she just continued into her sales pitch to save me money. After her completely ignoring MY questions I requested to speak to a manager. He informed that when I signed up for my credit cards I WAIVED the choice to not receive calls for any savings. I told him I will be calling my credit card companies individually and letting them know I want no further calls.
For the record I have also received these calls from other phone numbers like 877-504-6336 and 567-248-4455 CALLERS BEWARE!!!!
