Received another call from Dean Walker with the Department of Legal Affairs threating a class action suit against me. contact their office at 323-250-0720. People if the government is suing or bring a class action against you, they will contact you by mail. Do not fall for it.
They said they were from the Department of the Treasury, and that legal action had been initiated against me. They sounded like they are from India. They are impersonating federal agents. Hanging is too good for them.
Same exact thing happened to me. I just called back b/c I wanted to mess with them, I Google them first and knew it was a scam but wanted to waste their time. Once I started questioning him he hung up and I called back and he said that I can "wait for the officer to come with the arrest warrent." I laughed and he hung up again. I tried calling again and I think he blocked my number b/c now it just rings busy right away!
Yep, I got the same call but it sounded like he said his name was (something) Peterson, and that he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs for the U.S Treasury Office. The whole thing sounded fishy, so the first thing I did was Google the number and saw all of the previous posts and I can now see that it is B.S.
This is a freaken scam. Say they are with the legal dept of legal affairs of us treasury. Ask for wife and say there is an issue with taxes. I file joint,but they refuse to talk to me. So then they start cursing and making threats and said the police would be here to arrest. What a joke
