These idiotic calls had stopped for 3 mos now they're back. I'm on "do not call" but they "do not care". The best way I find to get rid of them is don't answer and don't let your machine answer. They'll stop for a few months anyway.
If you actually talk to a representative- get a first and last name and a call back number- if they havent hung up on you by that point, hope you didnt give them your info. If you did- call to request a new card and report them as lost or stolen. That's your best bet
Received a pre-recorded call from them at a business number, which considering that the business number is on the state and federal DNC lists, is doubly illegal. This message was about some kind of debt-counseling service, and it was my LAST chance. Ha. I filed complaints with the state attorney general's office and the FCC immediately.
I have received numerous calls on my business phone. When I pick up it is an automated message stating that they have a special offer for a lower interest rate on my credit card (I never use this number for any personal cards) and that I should hold as the offer is about to expire. Each time I ask them to remove my phone number from their list and they hang up on me. Today the woman verified my number and stated she put it on the do-not-call list. i will see if that works. Is this even a legitimate company or are they fishing for information to use fraudulantly?
How did you file the complaints? I have had problems with someone using my phone number. This person apparently has some personal problems as I have received their threatening phone calls from credit agencies and even a police department. Each time it takes numerous calls to get them to understand that they have a wrong number.
