I received a robo call from someone stating they were Agent Nikki Johnson from the IRS and to call this number. Of course it was a SCAM. The guy who answered said his name was Mark Cooper. When I asked him where he was calling from he said Los Angeles Ca. When I asked him his address, he asked me if I wanted to come to Los Angeles Ca. I said yes where is his address, he said Thank you and hung up.
The only recommendation I have is to remember the time differences and always call them back between their hours of midnight and 6am. Serves them right!
I got the call today too. They told me the IRS has filed a lawsuit and had an arrest warrant for my arrest. When I asked them to confirm the name I had two years ago since I recently got married.
I called them back. They told me that IRS recalculated my tax and I owe $3,000. When I ask to review the information. They said it was too late and they are sending the police to arrest me because I defrauded the government. He referred me to his supervisor who sounded exactly the first person (heavy East Indian accents). He insisted they were sending the police to arrest for tax evasion and defrauding he government. I told them I would go to the police if they had information this case. He hung up
