Same story here. Try this tactic. Call them back and tell them YOU are the attorney calling on behalf of your client (who in reality is yourself). I did this and they immediately hung up on me. I called three more times and the calls went directly to voice mail. Don't be intimidated; this is a scam. The first time I called back they answered the phone as "attorney general's office".
My caller's name was Robert Henry, also with a heavy accent. I was told he is was calling about a legal complaint against me. I asked him if he was a debt collector, he said he was not a debt collector, but with a lawyers office and it was important that I speak with him. This has SCAM written all over it.
These guys just will not give up. I have asked for documentation that i received a loan from the company they "represent". They always get loud & beligerant then hang up. Ugggghhhh scammers are so freakin annoying!
I too got a call from this number, he was definately from India, and he claimed to be a lawyer, and that he needed to speak to me about a legal matter, and I said that he has me confused with someone else, because I'm a law abiding citizen, and I'm not involved in any such legal matter. He said it was about my social security number was being sued, and something about identity theft, it's hard to understand someone like that. Anyhow, I told him, good I hope someone did try to steal it, my credit sucks, so ha ha identiy thieves!!!!! I told him to quit calling me and hung up. He promptly called back and I screamed and swore at him to stop calling and harrassing me or that he could talk to my lawyer and that it wouldn't be a pleasant conversation. I then hung up. He again, promptly called back, and I screamed and swore at him again to stop calling and harrassing me, or he'd regret it. I know I can't really do anything to this pathetic Jerk *^&*&^%$#%$#@&*, but it sure felt good to take some verbal aggression out on that mf. I mean, where do these people frikin get off!! Seriously? They should seriously consider taking those people that make calls like that and put them in a room full of people they have harrassed and totally pissed off!!!! Justice for all!!!
I keep getting the exact same call as everyone else. How do I get this jerk to stop calling my place of employment? He says his name is Justin. His name is just about like mine is Bali....
