I just received an email from Steven Brown stating that I am going to be prosecuted for wire and bank fraud. He is notifying me before the case is filed in court and yes it said attorney general. If you are being sued in court you must be served court papers and an email will not not be accepted.
I just got the email and i called. I said what company and he told me. I said my brother in laws works for the attorney general and i will have him call you to fix this matter. He replied ( in his very thick over seas accent ) that i should not harrass him but yes have my attorney contact him
It is a definite scam and if I were you I would not even call the number listed in the email unless you can hide your caller ID.
They can look at who they get call backs from and know to start taking the scam to your telephone and then you will be bombarded with scam phone calls about how you owe money.
You would be the first to know if you owe money or have defaulted on a loan.
I have been getting these for years and no one has ever arrested me, sent me proof or come to my door.
Half these people send them out from overseas but there are also some who send them from the states.
Look up fraud emails. Do some investigating. Google is a wonderful tool for doing all that.
