I just got an email from this idiot. So I hid my number and called back. He had the nerve to try to tell me that I could pay 479 and avoid any more legal action. He could not tell me the original date of this alleged loan, the bank it was issued to, none of the details I was asking for. This email is a scam and then some. And if his name is steven Brown then I'm Ezekiel Smith...freak. definitely don't lose any sleep over this jerk
If you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam
"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."
"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."
I recieved at email from a Steve Brown Attorney Office Auburn, AL saying that I have 48 hours to reply. With a United States District Court Arres Warrant. I have never been to AL and have no Idea what this is about. Scam?
