I receved a VM, on my cell phone, from a man with a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent claiming that a friend of mine had committed bank fraud and had named me as a point of contact. He said he represented a company called PCS and that he wanted my friend to call them ASAP. I spoke with my friend and they were clueless. I advised them to be careful as it may be some sort of a scam.
Same here.......multiple phone calls from this number 347-269-0834 claiming his name is Steven Johnson or Jeff Mark, heavy accent, says I need to wire him $$ or he will file a suit against me. Calls my work number, keeps harrasing me. Claims to be from a company called PCS. Says he will be on my doorstep with a lawsuit and will take me to California to pay out big $$ since I won't cooperate now. Asked how I would feel when he took me from my children. He has all of my personal information, SSN, DOB, etc. I called my local sheriff's deptment and they were going to call the number back for me. Good luck to everyone else, it is very annoying and scary.
A friend of mine received a call from this "Jeff Marx" demanding to know how to contact me directly in order to obtain money from a lawsuit. I suspect that these guys are terrorists trying to finance Al Qaida. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!! Curse them out and hang up and report the number to the FBI.
These guys have no shame. The number on my phone shows up as 288 or ND INDUSTRIES and they say that they are from a company called PCS trying to get money from a loan I never paid off. The contact is Steven Johnson with a very thinck accent who mispronounces my name. I asked him to speak with his supervisor and when he "transferred" me, the same heavy accented man answered and mispronounced my name the exact same. These guys are obnoxious and if you continue to hang up on their calls, they will call your work or leave you very harrassing voice mails. SAVE your messages and report them online. Register your number on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and hopefully this will end. Just like dsden said, tell them that you know they are full of [***] and that you are reporting their numbers to the FTC. I added the number in my phone and set it to go straight to VM. Good luck guys!!
Just recieved a message from my boss at work reading;Mike Smith called for "my name"(something about a wrong ssn for her-Scam?) Anyways, Mike's number is 347-269-0834. I am afraid of loosing my job over this, can someone please help!!
