For months I have been getting calls from a blocked number, but no message. I was in class yesterday when I saw a blocked call coming in and then a voicemail. So after class, I listened to the message and got the threat of a lawsuit. They also gave the last four numbers of my social security. How is it they are unable to the caught with so many complaints. Oh, my favorite is that the person clearly has an old world eastern accent and called himself 'Michael Rich'. I have credit monitoring already, but haven't seen any unusual activity as of yet...all my accounts are now on high alert.
Still getting calls from the blocked number this morning, more frequent than usual. Called the police dept about the suspicious message from yesterday, they don't seem concerned. Dispatch says they'll check with an officer to see if its something worth complaining about.
I RECIEVED A CALL FROM A JOHN QUADIN A FEW WEEKS BCK...SAYING THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION ON MY SS#....FOR A PAYDAY LOAN THAT I NEVER PAID BCK...WHEN I ASKED JOHN WHEN WAS THIS LOAN TAKEN OUT, HE SAID HE WAS UNABLE TO GIVE THAT INFORMATION.....THEN HE GOES ON TO SAY THAT THE TOTAL AMOUNT INCLUDING FEES WAS $1179, I TOLD HIM I WAS UNABLE TO PAY THAT AMOUNT. HE ASKED ME IF I WAS ABLE TO GIVE HIM ANYTHING THAT WOULD HELP TO SOLVE THIS DEBT....I STILL TOLD HIM NO!!!!!THEN HE TELLS ME THAT IF I HAD $733 I COULD RESOLVE RIGHT AWAY....AGAIN I TOLD HIM NO!!!!THEN HE SAYS THAT THEY WILL CALL MY JOB AND TELL THEM EVERYTHING EVEN THREATENED MY CON TATS...AFTER AWHILE I GAVE IN AND ASKED IF I COULD PAY OFF THE $1179 BY PAYING ON IT MONTHLY....NOW IT'S LET ME TALK TO MY SUPERVISER....FAST FORWARD, I AGREEDED GOT ALL THE PAPER WORK, A FEW DAYS WENT BY AND I COULD'T SLEEP THIS WAS BOTHERING ME....I WENT ONLINE AND THAT'S WHEN I FOUND THIS SITE.....I IMMEDIATELY CANCELED MY CARD, BEST OF ALL IT'S A PREPAID CARD....WHEN THEY CALLED ME TO VERIFY THE PAYMENT I SAID NO, I'M NOT PAYING ANYTHING AND TOLD THEM NEVER CALL MY JOB AGAIN....I KNOW THEY WILL AND BOY OH BOY DO I HAVE SOMETHING IN STORE FOR THEM....THANKS TO ALL OF YOU I JUST SAVED MYSELF $1179........
A guy with a heavy accent calling himself Michael called twice in a row leaving a message claiming bank fraud on my part. Its a total scam I have had these calls before and it is always a heavy accent with a different name, company and story. They have called from different numbers even. They have even called family and friends. I have just had to alert everybody about the scam. They would quit if nobody ever sent them the money they ask for.
I got a call from "Michael Rich" from Public Credit Services saying there was an online loan I appilied for but that I did not pay back. They had my email, last four of my ssn and bank information. I asked him what he wanted but he wouldn't give my a real answer. I asked for him to send me papers showing there was a lawsuit but he said he can't send me papers to my physical address, said he can email fax or send them to my attorney. I told him no he can send to me and he said to just have my lawyer call him back asap. I told him I don't have a lawyer and he can send me papers and if I need to obtain a lawyer I will he then said I can't fight a legal issue with out one. What?! So he told me to have a nice day and hung up. When he first called it was from a blocked number and on the VM he said to call him back at 347 269 0834 and if I didn't call he would call my current employer and diclose this information to my manager. I have a calls like this over the past few months they stopped for about 3 or so months and today 10/18/11 was the first time they have called since. I know this is a scam and I sure as hell will not be confirming or sending them any information and I know I did not apply and get money from some online loan. This makes me so mad!! I wish these people could be stoppped.
