I receved a VM, on my cell phone, from a man with a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent claiming that a friend of mine had committed bank fraud and had named me as a point of contact. He said he represented a company called PCS and that he wanted my friend to call them ASAP. I spoke with my friend and they were clueless. I advised them to be careful as it may be some sort of a scam.
Two years ago I began being harassed at work, by cell, and my boss was also contacted. If I didn't answer, they'd keep calling non-stop and also left threatening messages. Always a man with a heavy accent identifying himself as "Mike Smith" or "Lee Johnson" from the legal Dept. of Public Credit Service, saying I owed $500 on a cash advance loan. He had my name, SSN, address, cell phone & work numbers, and my boss's number. I filed a report with the police, FTC, and put out a fraud alert through the credit bureaus. The calls tapered off shortly after I did this, and told them I'd reported them to the police.
Fast forward to today, 8/19/11. I've received two voicemails from a "Michael Smith" from the "Legal Dept. of PCS - Public Credit Service", using my name and SSN. Threatening a lawsuit and compromosation of my SSN if I didn't send $5,000. The number came in as 153, but the call back number given was this one. Once again, I've reported this to the FTC and put out a fraud alert through credit bureaus.
Man Called me stating his name was John Smith and said i owed money for a loan. i have never borrowed anything from ANyone unless it was sugar. but he had a heavy Accent and dememnded that i give him my Credit card numbers so i hung up and told him that if he calls back i will have MMy Lawyer talk to him. he called back at my job and i told him give me your number and my lawyer will call you regarding it. and he gave me a fake number that just keeps beeping.
I have received this call at my work place 3 times. My boss answered it the 3rd time. Someone with a heavy accent named Chris Brown. He is rude and called my friend a liar. when she answered the phone. Very rude.
I just received 2 calls from +275 the first call he said something and hung up the 2nd call a man strong accent said I had 2 pending lawsuits against my social security number & I asked to speak to his supervisor the same guy got on the phone saying he was the supervisor name was Morgan Black & I asked for his number & he gave me 347-269-0834 I told him that I would contact my attorney & not to call my number again
