Caller ID just said 347-344-5987. The guy calling knew my full name & make & model of my car. He said his name was Grant Singleton (probably a bogus name). Wanted to sell me an extended warranty for my car. He asked me the mileage on my car and I unwittingly gave it to him. He also asked if I received mailings to my house and he had my address. I told him I don't recall. Then he asked if this was a good number to reach me. Guess I'll be getting more SPAM calls. Ughhhhh!!! He said he was going to transfer the call to the Senior Coverage Manager to sell me an extended warranty. I told him I didn't want to buy an extended warranty, so he just said have a good day and hung up.
Number called me and I missed the call. I called it back and got a recording from Verizon saying that the number has been changed or is no longer available......weird.....it just called me......
I spoke with a polite but forceful young lady. She said she was calling from The Auto Processing Center, and knew the year and type of car I drove. They also called on my cell phone. She said she was closing out files because my 3 year warranty was about to expire, and wanted to know if I wanted to extend it. When I said my warranty wasn't expired, she said I must have already extended it. I said no, and did she get her info from my car dealership. She said no. When I asked for a callback number, she said she couldn't give me one, but would transfer me to her supervisor and they would have all the information for me. I was put on hold, heard some music, and then was cut off. When I tried to call back on 347-344-5987 the number that was on my phone, it said it was disconnected. I'm unhappy they had my name, car info, and cell phone number. Creepy!
