Recorded call from 347-349-4964 stating this was my last chance and that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. They called three times today. All communication I have ever seen from the IRS is in writing. Obviously some sort of scam. Number is private, but in lower Manhatten. Doubt that is the IRS office that would be calling me in Chicago.
The call was similar to others above:
"This call is a final notice from the IRS. The reason for this call is the Internal Revenue Service is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, call our department number 347-349-4964." Number originated in NY.
IRS communications usually come by mail and I don't have any problems with them, so this must be a scam. You would think that those pin-headed scammers would get a legitimate job. Pathetic losers!
These idiots called twice today. How can you have two "Final" notices? Clearly it's not the IRS as they say. I'm tempted to call back to find out what they're trying to do, but they're clearly scammers, so I'll let them call someone else.
Same call from this number to my dad's house...they called 4 times today. IRS supposedly threatening and wanting information. My dad called IRS and while on hold, IRS has message telling them "Beware of IRS Scammers"...UGH...so annoying!!!
