Got a call also from global i think he said BC240 but might be PC24/7. said i shud get on computer because it was infected...i asked for phone # which he gave as 347-352-0133. hard to understand.... Name might have been Devid....my computer has AVG so it is protected to a point.....Dont plan to let him get access to my computer nor phone back...
THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.
Listend for a long time to man tell me how messed up my computer was and offered to fix it. Led me through steps to "fix" it and then asked for credit card info. Weird part was he told me to call the bank when the card was declined and ask them to remove a global block on my account. I called the bank who had no record of trying to be charged but also had no idea about a global block. Curious how they could have all the info on my computer and yet still not just be able to see the info inputted. They called back this evening and when I told them the card was frozen and I couldn't pay them if I wanted to they said "fine" and they would remove the protection they had put on my computer. Now I'm not sure what to do but am feeling pretty gullible about the whole thing. Think I am too stupid for computers altogether!

I RECIEVED NUMEROUS CALLS FROM AN OBVIOUS ACCENT "ASIAN" 7748283686237 WEIRD INTERNET # CLAIMING HES CALLING FROM THE FEDERAL CREDIT BUREAU AND WAS SAYING I WAS DOING FRAUD AND THE GUY EVEN CALLED MY WORK AND TOLD ME TO CALL MY ATTORNEY TO CALL HIM AND LEFT ME THIS # 1-347-352-0120. I CALLED BACK BECAUSE I USE TO WORK WITH CREDIT BUREAUS AND TOLD HIM I WAS THE ATTORNEY FOR MYSELF AS IN FAKING ME BEING ONE. THEN I TOLD THEM THIS CALL WAS BEING RECORDED AND STARTED ASKING HIM QUESTION ABOUT THE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY ENDED UP HANGING UP EVERYTIME I CALLED. ACCORDING TO HIM HIS NAME WAS AUSTIN BLACK.
