This recording said that I needed to call the IRS for something incorrect with my taxes from last year. Until, I get a letter in the mail, she can just keep calling me, I guess!!
I just received a call from this number but I have been experiencing a high volume of fraud calls lately and have had bank hacking issues too. I listened to the voice mail they left which says if I don't call back in 24 hours then I will be put in jail but funny thing is that I have been getting this message for at least a week and I am still not in jail. But I work in the legal field so I know you don't get calls like this from people telling you they're about to put you in jail, you have to have a warrant, have your rights read and you know, commit some kind of a crime first. Reading other posts it seems this is a scare tactic to get you to pay them $650 roughly... wonder how much these douches earn annually by people who do get scared and don't know any better.
You should have called the IRS to verify the debt first, you don't get put in jail for owing the IRS money without first receiving a billion notices in the mail, not a robot-call, a notice in the mail.
