This recording said that I needed to call the IRS for something incorrect with my taxes from last year. Until, I get a letter in the mail, she can just keep calling me, I guess!!
***Let me start this off by saying this is a total, poorly executed scam. do not let them harass you. do not let them scare you. Take the right steps to report them.***
They left me a message stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest and to call immediately. I called and spoke to a fraud IRS representative who went by the name "Sharon Allison." She bombarded me with threats such as issuing a warrant for my arrest, effective immediately. Sending me to court to pay an additional $9,500 on top of what they were claiming I owed the IRS; they also threatened to close out any and all accounts under my name, on top of stripping me from any material belongings under my name (like my home, for instance.)
"Sharon Allison" went into a full monologue explaining my options; one of them being go to jail, go to court, pay an insane amount of money I don't even owe in the first place. My other option is to set up a payment plan, where she was pressing me to give her $1,000 right then and there. She would get frustrated and defensive when I would ask questions because nothing she was saying actually made any sense; she also told me I was unable to discuss any of this with anyone other than her. In the middle of this ridiculous conversation, the call drops, so I try to be responsible in the midst of all my confusion and call back. The new rep I spoke to told me "Sharon Allison" did not want to speak with me, and that I need to talk to him instead. I pushed back till they put me back on line with her, which lead to the phone call to be magically dropped again. The final attempt at getting straight answers from these people, they told me that I couldn't speak to my original rep, so my only other option was to speak with him or an officer when I get arrested.
Long story longer, I reached out to 311 to investigate further, which lead me to find this forum. The 311 rep I spoke to clarified that this was most definitely a scam and that they have been dealing with these reports all day. He also provided me with information to make a proper report for personifying an IRS representative and harassment, which I want to share with all of you making these reports as well:

I love driving them crazy! I let them do their spiel and when they want to confirm my name I tell them it's Tera Choda which is Hindi for "you're fuc@$!
