This man says he is John Williams and is from the department of law and investigations. He said if I want to sey\ttle out of court for a complaint against my social security number then I had better return his call.I have had 4 different numbers from people calling me for a dispute about I got money from a payday loan and I didn't pay when I was supposed to and now people are trying to sue me for not paying. All these people are trying to do is get free money from our honest dollars. All of the phone calls including this one sound like they are reading a script. also this guy sounded like he was trying not to laugh while he was reading his script. He is not legitimate and I am going to laugh along and ignore him. I hope anyone and everyone does the same.

I have received calls from a few different numbers.  The guy sounds like he is from another country and is reading from a script.  He says they are a legal service and have dispute against my social security number.  They say I need to call them or the next contact will be from a lawyer.  I called the number that was given and the phone was disconnected.  Then, another message was leftwith the number 347-460-9758  and I thought I'ld call and see who they were.  When they answered the phone, they didn't address a business, just said can I help you?  I asked what company they were.  He said they are not a company, but a legal service.  We set up payment arrangements for a payday loan on my debit card.  He said he needed to fax a form for me to sign off on agreeing to the arrangement.  I didn't want it faxed to my work so I asked him to email it to me, which he did.  The email address was [email protected].  This put up a red flag for me, with an address of gmail.  I googled the "company" and found this is a common scam that is going on.  The guy called my cell phone the next day after I hadn't filled out the necessary paperwork and was wondering when I could get that done.

THIS IS A SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money for fictitious crimes or your personal ID.
