This man says he is John Williams and is from the department of law and investigations. He said if I want to sey\ttle out of court for a complaint against my social security number then I had better return his call.I have had 4 different numbers from people calling me for a dispute about I got money from a payday loan and I didn't pay when I was supposed to and now people are trying to sue me for not paying. All these people are trying to do is get free money from our honest dollars. All of the phone calls including this one sound like they are reading a script. also this guy sounded like he was trying not to laugh while he was reading his script. He is not legitimate and I am going to laugh along and ignore him. I hope anyone and everyone does the same.
I was called by someone at 347-460-9758. I first talked to Alex Parker who said that he was going to transfer me to a Sr. Attorney with his firm. I was then transferred to Denny or Danny Wilson who said he was with the firm of ALS.... He spoke so fast that I didnt get all the letters, sorry. He told me that I was being sued for nonpayment of a payday loan, under a different name than ANY payday loans I have ever taken. They both wanted me to confirm my social, which I refused to do.
Just wanted to let y'all know I too got a call from this guy...not only did he say the same stuff about a payday loan, BUT he also informed me of possible "work" (he has contacts in USA) to help make the loan payment and also to live ANYWHERE I chose, drive a BRAND NEW car and ALL my needs and wants would be met!! Hmmm...he then explained to me that women in his country sometimes find themselves without income and of course they weren't allowed education so they had to find other *ways* to make money....Ummm, can you say SLAVERY or PROSTITUTION? I think this guy has his turban on a lil too tight messin with a Texas chic...
I received a call from a guy saying his name is Dennis Anderson with ACLS (Affiliated Consolidation Legal Services) from this phone number 347.460.9758. Mr. Anderson was over the top with his scare tactics of trying to get me to pay $300 from some payday online loan he claims I applied for back in June 2010. I asked him to provide me with proof that I received these funds and when. He got upset and threatens to serve me with lawsuit papers. I told him to go right ahead and gave him my attorney's phone number. He then told me that I would have to hire and attorney to represent me at the hearing or I could settle the matter with him right now. Now my previous sentence didn't I say I gave him my attorney's phone number; so why would I need to hire one if I already have one. Hmmm...
Anyway this guy is a co artist with a weak con. People don't get caught off guard these so called debtor collectors are running game!
If you are in a situation where you have past due bills and debt collectors are calling you; don't avoid them take their calls. Before, you make any arrangements with a debtor, request proof of the debt in writing. Once you receive the proof research it and confirm if it is indeed your debt. Make sure the company is legitimate before setting any arrangements with them. Remember we have not always been in debt so don't feel bad if you are and still do your diligence.
Received the same thing as apparently everyone else, this guy with a very thick accent called me claiming I owe them money on a payday loan. When I asked for documentation they got nasty then hung up. Today this guy called me back and told me he knows where I live and gave me my home address and place of business, the then proceeded to tell me he loved my voice and just wanted me to talk to him. When I told him I was contacting the police and NY State Attorney General, he told me he didn't care and loved me and didn't care if he lost his job. He's since called a few times and I have refused to answer. I contacted my local police who said these kinds of cases are really hard to prosecute because they can't find where they are calling from. Please be aware of this scammer, the police suggested I call my cell phone carrier and see if they can block this phone number.
I keep getting these calls as well. I know it's not very "PC" of me, or even very nice, but I usually let them speak for a minute, then start saying "Death to Hamas". They stopped their calls for about 3 months, and recently started again. I missed his call earlier today, but rest assured when he calls tonight around seven, I will say it again. It seems to subdue them a bit...
