This man says he is John Williams and is from the department of law and investigations. He said if I want to sey\ttle out of court for a complaint against my social security number then I had better return his call.I have had 4 different numbers from people calling me for a dispute about I got money from a payday loan and I didn't pay when I was supposed to and now people are trying to sue me for not paying. All these people are trying to do is get free money from our honest dollars. All of the phone calls including this one sound like they are reading a script. also this guy sounded like he was trying not to laugh while he was reading his script. He is not legitimate and I am going to laugh along and ignore him. I hope anyone and everyone does the same.
If you've given them your credit card info, call your card issuer, tell them you've been scammed, you want your card canceled and replaced with a new one, and the issuer should claw the money back if it's been already taken. Yeah i had gotten a call from a different number (+052928512) and actually had filled out and the paperwork and gave them the info to pay them -then i found out it was a scam so i wrote them telling them that i have cancelled my card because of this and they can have nothing. They wrote me back the WORST letter i have ever read from a company. They stated i was "nastly" lady and that would never take a penny from mwe as i called them a scam. Then they stated they will be taking me to "the court" - then at the end of this letter once again asked for my cooperation in paying them... ?
They also gave me this number (347-460-9758) as the person i owe the payday loan money to which is still affiliated with them.
Got a call at my work place from "David Johnson" who spoke with a heavy Indian or Pakistani Accept. What a joke! Hung up on him. He called back and left voice mail and threatened that I had better not ignore his call.
Look buster ... I survived Hurricane Katrina. I swam through my home, rescuing 10 pomeranians and 1 Maltese. Within 3 hours of getting out in a boat and being dropped off on dry land, one of my poms died in my arms from the heat. I lived on the street for the next 3 days ... in a looted shopping center no less. When the waters receded, I had to bring my poor dogs back to a hideously destroyed home ... because the person that offered to give me a ride to Baton Rouge would not take my pets. I rode 80 miles in the back of a pick up with a 90 pound Rotweiler that belonged to the driver. I was able to find the last rental car in Baton Rouge (I swear to God) and went right back to my destroyed home and rescued all my pets. I was 60 years old at the time. I THINK I CAN HANDLE YOU!!!!!
I live in CA, and this guy kept calling my department, and the receptionist would transfer the call until he got tired of it. These [***]&^%$s called on average 10 - 15 times a day! The recptionist noted that it would be a guy with an accent, or American, and he identified at least 4 different voices. Today, they kept calling asking for the fax number which he refused to give them, and they just kept calling back.
They would never leave a message. So he knew they were probably a collection agency. He wanted to bait them, so he told me the next time they call, ask for his name and number, and that I will call him back on my break. What he gave me was his name: "LEE JOHNSON" & the number: 347-460-9758.
The receptionist then found this site!! Hopefully all you people who have posted on this board are reporting these scumbags to SOMEBODY like the FBI, or NY State Attorney General's office!!
And if so, wonder why they have not done anything about it??
I had the same call, and he told me in a threatening manner that he would see me at the couthouse. I asked for the address and phone number. I googled the address and it was a library in Ithaca, NY
