Called to speak to my son who does not live with me. When the male caller was informed that he was not home...he said that he was in legal trouble with the US Treasury and if he did not call ...he would be in a big legal mess. The caller had a strong accent and left a contact person name Jeremy??
I received the same message, except it was from an Annie Johnson, also with a very thick accent, and probably reading from a script. Have to say it sounded a little scary, even though I know that I have perfect credit and no outstanding debt.
Got a call from 347-474-3195 at around 11:00am. The woman on the phone claimed to be from Teasury Department Internal Affairs and that there are legal action against me. She spoke with a heavy accent and right away asked for my tax information. Then I told her to stop making scam calls and hung up. These people think we are all fools. Shame on these people.
