Had a call like everyone else. K, I have never come across a person from India on the phone (Lord knows that is all we get now a days) with a common name like ours. That was my first red flag. I got to the point where the tech was going to take control of my computer and stopped them there.
Do what I did, involve the police department. That'll shut them up. I did and I got all my money back AND they never called me ever again. The police said they would press charges if they did call me and if they did not refund me . That'll scare them, trust me.:-)
I got a call at 11:30am.
Accent as others have stated.
Guy gave me the same story. Instead if buying into it, I asked him for his company name, address, and phone.
He told me the 347-480-2300, but he read it off like "1,3,4,7...like the 1 is connected.
He gave me a zip code that wasn't Brooklyn's and hung up on me When I called him out on it.
Btw, I have a Mac so I know this is a scam.
This is one of their new scam number we shut down last one and will do the same if we all help
This is how to stop them
Just keep calling number every chance you get THEY ARE FLIPPING OUT the longer you keep them on phone will give them less time to mess with people we have successfully shut down many of these numbers by doing this back to them
the best thing is to keep them on line as long as you can scam them back
