I just got the same call from Mike Anderson and i hung up and did research. I found out that the IRS can only contact you by US mail only..So anyone who calls you on the phone saying they are an IRS AGENT hang up
Fraudulent call: Caller claimed to be a Cheryl Park from the IRS, said an arrest warrant was out for me because of taxes. On my question,'Are you a government agency', she answered 'yes, from the IRS.' She read me a case number, and then wanted to question me on who did my taxes (which she'd have known, if it really were the IRS), so I told her to tell me what I was accused of, and if this was a questioning. She ended with "I'll have you arrested" and hung up. It's an illegal scam (claiming to be a government agency, threatening arrest...) Apparently many people in San Jose got similar calls.
The 1-347-559-1912 phone number is a T-MOBILE cell phone number in NY City Zone 14, NY. (Would the IRS no longer use land lines, but unregistered cell phones?)
