I just got the same call from Mike Anderson and i hung up and did research. I found out that the IRS can only contact you by US mail only..So anyone who calls you on the phone saying they are an IRS AGENT hang up
This Mike J Anderson states he is with some division of the IRS and wanted to notify me or my attorney of a lawsuit for tax evasion. The problem with their scam, their people are as stupid as their scam! He called me by my alias/nickname and not my full given legal name. The guy who claimed to be Mike J Anderson, also has a Mike J Anderson in the neighboring cubicle! When the guy who ever he really is, seemed to be reading off a script and asked if I knew anything about the lawsuit against me, I said no, but I will contact the IRS directly and he said okay, and hung up the phone. I contact the IRS and they had no idea of a lawsuit.
I received a call from this Number the person stated his name is Mike J Anderson from the IRS.
He stated I have been audited form the IRS from 2008 to 2015 and I owe money he said if I fail to pay I can face jail time and someone will come to my home with a warrant out for my arrest.
Well I also got a call from this number 347-559-1912 and it was a computer recorded voice telling me to contact
This number because there was a legal matter against my name , which it never even stated my name or who the call was intended for. I went about a week stressing over this call. At first I did try to call back the number it
Gave but it just rang for a while and no answer or messege recording . I just googled the number and was reading
All the comments and it was exacatly what was happening to me.
