I just got the same call from Mike Anderson and i hung up and did research. I found out that the IRS can only contact you by US mail only..So anyone who calls you on the phone saying they are an IRS AGENT hang up
Said he was agent with irs, to contact him before legal agents. I don't owe money. I figured out when I saw I had a message which I called back after 6 pm. Relied what a scam when phone rang no Co name, no request for messsge, just rings. SC AM
Got a message that sounded like a computer generated greeting (like something you would here out a speak and sound program) asking me to contact a Mike Anderson from the IRS. I knew it was BS in the beginning but had to call to see just what this guy thought he could get away with. It just rang with no answer. Nice try, a**hole.
I got two calls from a "Mr. Anderson" (the WASPishly named Mr. Anderson sounds like he's from the Middle East or perhaps India) bullying me into some set of instructions which I did not follow. There was barely enough authenticity to have me check into it. Thank you Google, and this site, for putting my mind at ease.
I recieved the same call stating to reach Mike J Anderson. I called back and the non american asked me to purchase a Green Dot card with 300 dollars loaded on it, and call him back tomorrow.
