It's a scam and Canada Anti fraud is aware. Don't give out any computer info they try to control your computer remotely. They claim your windows computer is registered with their department. Microsoft will never call YOu and ask You for your computer ID or whatever else they ask for. When I told him I looked up his number and he was illegitimate and to stop calling he said no.
guy called claiming to be from Microsoft help line. Sounded like a fraud. told me my computer has got a lot of error codes and since its connected to microsoft, they are calling to remedy the problem. then passed me to his senior. both of them claimed to be based in texas. the senior guy told me my computer id is 888DCA60 and said i can confirm it by typing assoc on command prompt. anyways by that time i had grown impatient and told him to [***] off and get a real job. By the way, they had obvious indian accent...
This number called at 2:47 , july 10th, Talking about my computer & windows. I have had many calls lioke this, so I told him to NEVER call again.
The exact # called 2 mins later, I answered & the caller hung up.
thanks guys, I got several calls from the same numbers and they sounds Indian accent, and keep telling me the same thing that my window has many unwanted junk that has slowed down my computer, he will fix it for me if I turn on my computer right now etc. I asked who are you, and who is paying to do this kind of work? They are mumbling by saying we are Technical Services and trying to fix your computer, but who is paying for your work, they can't answer my question and keep going on and on that your computer needs to be fixed, and I told them I don't need anything and hung up. 1 and half hour later, they called again and I don't even bother to pick up the phone.
They told me my computer has a problem I told them that they are fraudulent and hung up. I called them back and they actually answered most of the phishing companies won't you usually get this number is not in service and he was rather rude asked why I called him told him because he called me and I know that they are not legitimate definitely Indian he hung up
This number called at 9:42 a.m. Aug 21. East Indian accent said my computer had error messages. Told him to get a real job and quit bothering honest people. I then hung up.
