Just got a call from "Jason" asking me questions about what insurance I have if I have any DUIs, I told him what is the purpose of your call? He said he works with insurance companies in NYC that matches insurances with customers for best rates . I told him I have insurance and I'm not interested . F out of here with that BS. SCAM! He's lucky I didn't curse him out like I usually do to them.
these calls are from scum companies just to find "live numbers," that is, numbers that have a real person who answers. If these companies find live numbers, they sell them to telemarketers. The whole industry is loaded with pieces of [***].

Sheila, I'll give you my two cents on the purpose of these calls. They hang up when they don't hear a voice answer that may quaver or break or sound what the world would term "elderly." These calls that come at midnight, that threaten people, saying they are in trouble with the Treasury, that the FBI has tagged their computer, that there's a big problem with their credit card, on and on and on. The elderly are being targeted by everyone, scam artists, and so-called legitimate industries (that would be scam artists with political influence.) And try to do something about it, between who doesn't care and who stands to lose out, you don't stand a chance.
No voicemail left. Called back to see what's up. Was that solar company that others complained about. Also noticed that moments earlier (within a sec) I received a No Caller ID call.
