you can respond to these scammers to stop, free. Hopefully they listen since your not paying for the text message.

I get numerous text messages on my cell phone asking me to respond to BofA and give a 4 digit number. Today I got a longer one, "BofA - Authorization required for VISA card 4356-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Please call (347-853-8989)" I do not have a Bank of America card with this number and I do not believe I have ever given the bank my cell phone number. Where else do I need to report this?

Got the same thing. Everyone don't freak out because they have your first 4 digits. This is done by location. When they call you I am sure they have a list of first four digits around the country. Now if they have your LAST Eight digits, or 4 digits, then be concerned.

Had a text from B.o.A. - is not legit - call you bank first before responding to the phone number they post. They give the 1st 4 digits of your card then XX's, BOA will give you the last 4 in any message - same as what you see in your on-line banking. Again - THIS IS A FRAUD
