this is an irs scam go to irs.gov to see info on this scam caller identified himself as officer john bell badge # 1010 with irs said I had miscalculated my taxes and owe over 8700.00 if it wasn't paid there would be a warrant issued and my drivers lic cancelled within 30 min. I told him that irs contacts my mail he said there was a snapshot of a officer leaving a notice on my steps. when I said I was calling the irs 800# to verify this he hung up. he was getting aggressive there toward the end wanted to know if I did my taxes wrong on purpose lol idiot
Recieved a call from this number and they left an auto voice genreated message that sounded like Siri stating I owed taxes from a 5 year span that I know I had a certified CPA file my returns. First spoke with a Danell Martin Badge # 6161 and then with his supervisor James Fox Badge # 786 ( both gentlemen had HEAVY Middle Eastern accents). Both persons were very aggressive and demanding that I go to a website and pay the outstanding fees within the next 24 hours. When I told them that I was going to go down to the local IRS office in my area, they tried to tell me that that office would not have this information because it was being handled directly thru the Washinton offices.
Got an automated call from 360-200-4621saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit again me. Got right through to the number and was careful not to give any personal information. A very aggressive sounding man who identified himself as Detective Daniel Martin Badge number IRM: 6161. Told me we had miscalculated our taxes for 5 years (a certified tax preparer does our taxes). He said, under Section 101, an arrest warrant was being issued for my husband, then said they would come to our home and take all items in his name, including our home. Said we could pay $2569.00 immediately which included legal fees and charges. I said the IRS contacts me if, first of all, there was an audit, and if there were a problem, by certified mail. He said he was in Washington, DC, but the area code is Washington State near Seattle. When he transferred me to his supervisor, I told her I didn't understand because we had just spoken with an IRS representative and I asked for the IRS number. The call went dead at that. Also, this detective said if I fought this lawsuit, it would cost over $75,000.00. Everyone was either spanish, middle eastern or asian. Once connected with the supervisor, I could hear this detective speaking to someone else...same thing...audit and a little over $2000.00. The room was very noisy with calls.
