Just got a call from this number - American female recording that she is the IRS and the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call this number immediately. I did try to call that number and it just rang and rang. Scared me at first but I'm aware of the phone scams and I'm also aware that, that is not how the IRS does business. Thanks for having this site to confirm for me that it was just a scam. Sure hope that no one gets hooked. Does anyone know what's being done about it?
Got the "IRS is filing suit against you" call about a half-hour ago on my machine. Something didn't smell right about it. Gotta be a scam. Some police agency in Washington State needs to lock this SOB up.
