Have received several vm messages. Answered the phone tis morning -same recording. I called the number back and the guy noted above (w/ Indian (India) accent answered pretty quick. I ask where I was calling & he said IRS - Tresury dept. I asked address & he gave me Wash, DC address! He asked my name, which I gave him and he said there was nothing. I told him that if the IRS was filing something, I'm pretty sure the would send by US mail. He asked me why I was bothered. Because I keep getting these stupid messages! I'm gonna do more checking and report them!
Same thing here, just a scam. When I told this foreign accent guy whose name was Brian Cooper, lmao, that I was going too contact my tax lawyer & attorney he told me to stay where I was that in within2 hrs someone would be here to pick me, then just hung up.These peopled o need to be arrested and prosecuted!!!
Does anyone know if the FBI or another law enforcement entity would be interested in investigating.
I think we tend to ignore calls like this and then some poor person gets taken since we let it happen.
Normally when I get calls like this I tell them that I practice voodoo and that I would say a prayer that their children get cancer. I have had a couple over the years that got very upset and begged me not to.
Soooo got one as well. Was told I owe 7000 dollars. Does anybody know how we should proceed from this point? How do we report this, who do we report it to, are we positive this is a scam? I cannot get through to the irs. Says high call volume.
