Got a call from a unknown person. So I let it ring to leave a message. checked to see if they left a message but they did not. Then I check on the internet for the number to see if its a scam and it really was so I did not call it back.
The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.
Hang up and report the call here:

Do report the calls, the criminals are tracked down and arrested (Thanks for the link Mutton):

Called me and I thought was a client, so answered. Said IRS in an automated message, so called back for some giggles. Let him know that I've been a stay at home mom for YEARS now, no business with you. Kept trying to get information from me, uhhh no. Thanks.
