Just block their calls and ignore them. I believe in following the law, but if someone attempted to scare me about putting MY kids in foster care in order to collect a debt, I'd seriously consider drastic measures.
Just report them as I said in my earlier post.
If they continue to bother you, and you KNOW you do not owe any money, go to the local police, explain the situation to them and see if you can make a report of attempted extortion.
Got a call from this number (360-200-6866). It was a recording from a guy that said his name was Alex Jamerson. It said that I have a pending case in their office. It also did not give name of the company. A couple months ago, he called stating the same thing. When I asked for their business license number, he said "Have a nice day" and hung up. What a jerk.
I got the same call and message, I called back the number he gave me it was out of service so I called the number they called me on and I spoke to a guy didn't introduce himself and said I had a warrant out for my arrest on something that was done 7-8 years ago.. He gave me my wrong birthdate so I knew he was full of it
I receive a call and it was a recording saying that I had a pending case against me with their office. After pressing 1 an "officer" answered the call and told me that It was a loan that was transferred to my Wachovia Bank in 2013 when my account was closed in 2010. When I inquired about what loan company it was it from, she named like 10 possible loan companies. She said that a warrant was going to be issued (which it isn't true) it does not work like that. They have my SSN associated with an incorrect DOB. So in other words, it sounds like the perfect scam. Don't fall for it people!!!
I received a call from a man who then transferred me to the supposedly women in charge. Just like others of you they had my social and started threatening to have me arrested for check fraud and all sorts of charges. I told them that I gave used a check in possibly 10 years. They then came up with some other game that it was a payday loan. I told them that was impossible because I never had a payday loan. The woman just kept telling me I could look to be arrested. When researching the number I found all of your comments. Something has to be done to stop these people. I too ask for their business licence number and the woman said never going to happen.
