Just block their calls and ignore them. I believe in following the law, but if someone attempted to scare me about putting MY kids in foster care in order to collect a debt, I'd seriously consider drastic measures.
Just report them as I said in my earlier post.
If they continue to bother you, and you KNOW you do not owe any money, go to the local police, explain the situation to them and see if you can make a report of attempted extortion.
These folks called me trying to get $1072.16. Said I had a payday loan and wrote 3 bad checks so now I had until 9 tomorrow to pay before they picked me up for check fraud. Interesting they had an address I lived at 12 years ago and knew my current phone number and the bank I banked with before they were brought out. I'm filing a complaint with the FTC. I don't have a payday loan wouldn't even know how to get one. To me this falls along the lines of identify fraud.
Called me and said they investigate me for check fraud that I had check loan over the Internet. When I told him I was call my local police Dept he got very up set. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY TELL THEM TO GET A REAL JOB YOU GOT ONE!
I received a call from this fake company saying that i owe on a loan from Direct Cash. When i asked for thw info sent to me she said that they dnt do that. Whwn i asked for the namw of hwr company ahe said Kramer Phillips and Associates and her name was officer Joyce Michaels. Ahe told me i can fax her some info stating that i paid off my loan that was taken out in 2012. I asked for thw fax number which was 8665050327. Just to see what would be said after that. Complete scam. Thanks everyone for your comments cause i dnt have the money to give to ppl like that. Yall be careful. Always research before you do business.
I received a call Friday 9-25-2015 from a woman named "officer Joyce Michaels" at "Kramer and Phillips Law firm". She went on to say that I had a loan that I so called made 3 years ago. She claimed that she was a officer and that an investigator was looking into my case to issue out a warrant for my arrest and that she would a appear in court Monday ( which was yesterday 9-29-2015) to ask the judge not to put out a warrant if I gave her some money! I FREAKED OUT!!! Me being new to this I didn't ask all the necessary questions i should have ask and gave them $100 so a warrant would NOT be issued! Later on today "Joyce Michaels" called again to see if I had decided which payment plan I want to pay use and this time I had questions!!! I ask which which law firm did she work for, the address, her badge # (assuming she was a police officer) , what court did she go to, the name of the judge and her response was " um um Davis! YEAH Judge Davis is his name! I went on to say for her to fax me the case and she got aggravated and put me on the phone with the " lead Mr. Walker." Mr. Walker pretty much said what "Joyce Michaels" said and I got irate and started to use foul language as I was explaining that I WAS NOT GUILTY of this crime!!!!!! Mr. Walker went on to say that he "WILL MAKE SURE that a warrant was out for my arrest and I could have avoided all of this BS if I had just sent them the money!" WOW speechless.....
