FAKE IRS SCAM.
Received a recording from this number, saying they were the IRS and they were filing suit, and to call back. I called back from a different number, and an Indian woman answered "Hello, IRS." She then asked what number they had called. She seemed to know that the number I had called from was not in their system. It's as if she was trying to match up the number that they had originally called in order to further their scam.
I believe that this is part of the same scam run by the "card services" people. In the last two weeks, all of the card services telephone reps have been Indian.
Indian dude said i was going to be arrested within two hours,also homeland security and irs were taking possesion of my home,b.s. they will call back and ask for money
Same situation here. Told I owed almost $3k in mistaken IRS filings. Could not answer any specific questions and repeatedly threatened me with court proceedings. Got belligerent and told me to stop wasting her time and not to call back.
Her name was "Michelle Olson" but spoke with a heavy indian accent.
Same as all others on here. The voicemail message was computerized stating the IRS was filing suit against me. When I called back the accent was so thick I could not understand the persons name. I just hung up. I knew it was fake.
Got a call also. Was told I owed money but they could not provide any paperwork for me, just wanted me to pay up NOW. He eventually got so angry with me that he hung up on me! I talked to Michelle first then to her boss when she thought I was ready to set up a payment plan. Don't give out any info. and do not send any money!!
