1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list.
2. Consider blocking the number

Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).
When I receive a call from a new number I put it in my contacts list under Scum Suckers and assign it NO ring tone so at least after the first call they don't bother me anymore (I have filled all of the numbers in each and am up to Scum Sucker 47 now). Some phone companies will allow you to block a limited amount of numbers, however this is only a whack-a-mole solution but the only one I can offer.
A** holes finally got to my cell phone. First time my cell's been called. Really bad news...Had this problem with home phone and felt lucky they hadn't gotten to my cell phone. They should all be arrested.
Just got a call from these [***] on my cell phone. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. I then checked the phone number on Google and was directed here. I deleted their number after I put it in my junk number list...It seems being on a DNC list means nothing to these bums...
