I live in Illinois and I just received a phone call from this number also on land line. I too am on the Do-No-Call registry. I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. This is getting old really fast. Guess I'll put another complaint in.
Legal loop hole: "Even if your number is registered (on DNC list), charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you." Under the guise of a survey, they advertise. Do this: Call the company they are advertising and explain nicely that you will never purchase their product, take their cruise, etc., because of the annoying calls. Be nice and sound rational or they'll write you off as a whacko.
If you call back, as suggested by the shill for this telemarketing fraud, your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls from this telemarketing fraud, and sold to the opertors of other telemarketing frauds.
I have been doing the same thing but they still call. Don't know if the do-not-call registry is doing anything about them but I put in a complaint every time they call.
