JD - these calls are NOT coming from Pacific Telecomm. The numbers are spoofed numbers and the calls are made over the Internet from who-knows-where in the world. They mimic numbers that once were legitimate phone numbers. Pacific Telecomm has nothing to do with them and cannot stop them.
These callers are not your ordinary telemarketers. They are desperate criminals. Try not to engage in any conversation with them. Once they know your number is legit they put you on an automated call back program using a new # each time when the old one does not get through.

I have reported most of these.
As others have mentioned they are not selling anything they are mainly just harassing and were just using up my minutes. All we can do is hope the FCC assigns more personelle to this problem as it has disrupted my phone use as a business owner. I don't even answer it if I don't recognize the number and may be missing out on potential customers. I figure they will hopefully leave a MSG if they really need something.
