Mine starts out with a person with a Indian accent and that i will be receiving government grant money, I play along then they ask me my SS number and a account number the can transfer the money to. This has been the second time people from this phone number has called me in two months. I played with them at first then I asked where they were located they said Washington DC...LOL the area code is Washington state I tell him this a [***] scam. Surprisingly I keep this up for a while and he finial loosed his cool and starts swearing at me. Funny as hell. The first time I did this I reported the number and information to the IG of the Loans and grants department of the real US government (I say real because I worked for the government for years and knew who to reach out to.
I got the Microsoft scam that many others did. I told him I had a Mac and asked why Microsoft would call. He said I was lying, several times, got flustered and hung up. This sounds potentially dangerous if anyone were to fall for it. (You should add a "Scam" call type.)
Got a recording of one of these calls finally. He was calling me an idiot and I was not nice back. Threatened to call my number 100 times a day because he liked the sound of my voice. I told him I hoped the same thing happened to his daughter so he would know how it felt. Asked to be on the DNC many times over and requested a copy of his company's internal DNC policy. Technically could use him and told him many times I would if he didn't leave my family alone. I won't but those are usually the magic words.
