they keep calling me telling me they can lower my credit card rates I truly believe that this is a scam I really need them to stop calling me what can I do
Complete slime. Bet that we've had at around 1000 calls from these scammers. If you block one number, then they call back through on another. This was the 2nd call today from :card services"... the first number was blocked already. Hard to believe that this scam keeps being profitable.
I normally try to show at least a modicum of courtesy to telemarketers, no more than a crisp "Not today, thank you" and hang up. But the people at CardMember Services don't merit even that. They have standing orders to hang up before you finish the sentence "Please place my number on your Do Not Call list". This means they KNOW they're breaking the law. So for them, anything goes.
