I unplugged my answering machine so they just reach a ring. I also have purchased a call blocker device and as these calls come in if I am not home to immediately block them I block them manually , it does work. I have written to three different attorney generals in three different states and each one basically said they are spoofed numbers and not much they can do about it. I still would suggest people do the same thing and bombard them something can be done, they just need to be pushed.
Same as others: shows as "Alert" on caller ID. My wife answered and it was a recording saying they have free trial offers for an external pain cream. Press 1 for them to contact your insurance carrier to okay the cream. Hung up; so, we missed what "press 2" is.
Caller ID Unknown Caller
Recorded Message Male voice, stern ... "Don't Hang Up".... Not a Sales call. this is American Chronic Pain Association. Sale of pain creme
Received a call yesterday and woman with Indian accent telling me something was wrong with my computer. I told her there was nothing wrong with my computer and she got real nasty. I hung up on her.
Seeing another side effect of these Chronic Pain Association calls. Will not clear from the answering machine unless the entire message is played through and listened pass the "press keys" part. Also the call (displayed as originating in New York) was not blocked by Nomorobo. Will report the number accordingly.
