I got a call from this number today. I know a few people in Washington, but didn't recognize the number coming through. Since *all* of my telephone numbers are on the Do Not Call Registry, I wanted to know how they got my number, and what made them think that it was okay to call anyway. Also, I would be able to tell them that I am on the registry and they have to take me off of their call list.
So after selecting from the prompt and finding out that they are CC "Interest Rate Advocates ", I am put on hold for a representative. When I (finally ( am connected, I greet the woman on the other end and ask for a Level 2. She doesn't know what that means, and needs an explanation. Normally, a Level 2 is a Supervisor, and before I can ask her for one, she hangs up on me. I xalled back and got the same "discinnected or unavailable" message when I called the number back. So I reported it to the FCC immediately. I don't have a credit card, nor do I want to now!
So happy there are forums such as this that allows people to share information. This number called my cell phone this morning; of course I didn't answer and will now block the number. It sure would be nice if scum like this would be caught, persecuted and sent to prison.
Just called me, when I didn't answer, they called back 2 more times- no message and when I tried to call back I got the disconnect recording. Thank you to all who posted about this number. Wouldn't have given them any information anyway, but now I can block them from calling back!
I just got called by them. I have family in Washington so I answered. There was no one on the line and after about 5 seconds of silence, the line went dead. Someone needs to stop these people now.
