"Officer David Williams" from the "IRS" called me this morning and left a message saying that this is the last chance I have to work with him. Called back from another numbers and after his spiel I told him that I know he's not working with the IRS and knew he was lying about the lawsuit and warrant. He then began asking me what I am wearing, my age, and other inappropriate questions, and said it was okay since I knew he wasn't an official. He asked for my location and I told him that I don't give out personal information to anyone and he "promised" he wouldn't misuse any of it (yeah, I'm sure that since he promised, I can totally trust him!). Don't even give this disgusting piece of crap the time of day. Report it to your wireless service or phone company to see if the can block it from their standpoint as well as your own phone's blocking ability. Get these jerks reported and their numbers taken down. Scum of the earth scammers!
I received the call this morning from "Officer David Williams" of the "IRS". I answered and thought at first I was speaking to a real person then realized it was an automated message. After listening to the message, I called the number back to hear this guy's spiel. First he asked for my number so he could pull up my file. Gave him a fake number. Then he proceeded to ask me for my name and I told him he should have that in the file. He said he wanted to confirm he had the right file open so I gave him a fake name. He then proceeded to call me by my fake name and tell me that I was being investigated by the IRS for tax fraud. I responded that this seemed very strange to me as I only recently moved to the US last year and had yet to file a tax return with the IRS. This threw him for a loop and said that a local IRS representative would be contacting me, wished me a good day and said God bless and hung up. He spoke very broken English and was extremely difficult to understand. Reported the call and blocked the number on my phone.
I rcvd a message from "Ofc Mendez" and called back and spoke to an "Ofc McConnell" same guy... Very heavy middle eastern accent. Mendez? McConnell? He stated that my local police dept would be issuing an arrest warrant for me. I explained that our family is extremely close with many of the Ofc's in our area and that I would contact them directly. When I demanded his contact information including phone # and address, he abruptly hung up on me.
I just got a call from this same guy today (!) but I refused to give him my first or last name. Said he was from the IRS and mentioned a lawsuit. I didn't believe anything he said. I punched his phone number onto Google and found this site. I'm reporting my experience for all to read and beware.
I received a call from David Williams today stating I have a warrant arrest because of IRS fraud on taxes from 2011 & 2013. He said he would have to transfer my call to local police so I can be arrested. I told him to go ahead and transfer me and he then hung up.
